Parents Duty
Vocations Guide for Catholic Parents
Home      About

About this site.

Parents' Duty is maintained by Lisa Graas, a Catholic convert and mother of four.  [send email to Lisa]  It is not an official site of the Catholic Church or any Catholic diocese or parish.  It is "Catholic" in the sense that the administrator seeks to share only information that is consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Faith.  It is one layperson's effort to promote vocations in the Church.

We hear a lot about vocations, but most often it is from our priests.  This site is meant to complement the efforts of our clergy in their task of promoting vocations to religious life.

A note about fidelity.

holy spiritMany websites profess to be Catholic.  If you are unsure about the fidelity of a particular website, the best tool you can find online to help you decide is the site review section at Catholic Culture.

Other projects.

My other projects are listed below.

  • Co-founder and technical support director, Catholic Moms Matchmaking.  With so many young adults busy with career or college (or both!) matchmaking is making a comeback!  Meet other faithful Catholic families from around the country.
  • Moderator, GC Catholics Apologetics Group -- This group is for Catholics living in or around Grayson County, Kentucky.  Learn more about your Catholic Faith!
  • Founder, Catholics with Mental Illness -- a great group if you are a faithful Catholic who is struggling with a mental illness.
  • I also have a political blog, but I would like to keep politics separate from this site.  If you are really interested, though, send me an email and I will send you the link.

A message from Lisa Graas, Parents' Duty Administrator: I support the work of Catholic Culture and you should, too!  Catholic Culture is an invaluable resource for American Catholics using the internet.  I visit Catholic Culture at least twice a week for news, commentary and information on the fidelity of Catholic websites.
